How do I know my credit card details are safe?

Kiwi Hampers uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all pages that contain sales and credit card information. This encryption means your personal and credit card information is transmitted over the internet safely and securely.

As well as SSL encryption, all of our credit card payments are processed using a third-party "Payment Gateway Provider". Paystation, our Payment Gateway Provider, acts as a buffer between Kiwi Hampers and our bank, ASB. This means that no Kiwi Hamper staff will ever see your credit card details.

How do I return my purchase?

All Kiwi Hampers purchases are covered by the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. This act guarantees that good purchase for personal use may be returned if they are considered faulty - at which stage Kiwi Hampers can either repair, replace or refund the purchase price within a reasonable period of time.

All returned goods must be returned in the same condition that your received them in and in their original packaging. We also request that you in include the original delivery slip and an explanation for their return.

Please note if a returned product is not in stock, we will advise you by fax or email that it will be substituted for items of equal or greater value.

What happens if my Gift Hamper gets lost?

We will do everything possible to ensure delivery is made within the requested timeframe, but points to remember are:

  • Rural Delivery may take longer and incur extra charges for the sender.
  • Urgent Saturday orders will incur extra charges for the sender.
  • No deliveries are possible on Sundays and/or Public Holidays.
  • Order early to avoid these extra costs and delays.
  • We cannot accept liability for Courier Company errors and/or errors in delivery details supplied by the sender.

Where a delivery delay is unavoidable we will make every attempt to put things right and will act in good faith. Please talk to us if such an error occurs.

Will you share my details with a third party?

When you place an order on our website, we do collect personal information that is used for the purpose of processing your order. We may also ask you how you heard about our website and other marketing related information that is optional for you to answer. We collect this information so that we can generate aggregate reports of the type of people that visit our website and where they came from. This information is never used to identify you as an individual.

Our company safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. We do not store Credit Card details and our Customer address databases have access restricted.

We work with other companies that help us provide our products and services to you, and we may provide your personal information to these companies. For example, we give shipping companies this information so they can deliver your products efficiently. The information they receive is for shipping and delivery purposes only, and we require that the companies safeguard your personal information in accordance with our company's policies. At times we may be required by law or legal process to disclose your personal information.

How will my gift hamper be delivered?

We deliver our Gift Hampers using Couriers, which ensures they arrive safely and promptly to their destinations.

In most cases your gift will be delivered the following working day, however, in some cases it will take 2-3 working days for your order to be delivered depending on the delivery location. If delivery is to a business address, please specify Office/room/level. In the case of business delivery please provide an alternative street address; please note that a re-direction fee may apply.

Our Couriers are unable to deliver to PO Box numbers. Please provide a full street address to ensure delivery is made on time.

We ask our Couriers to deliver the package even if the recipient is not home. A Courier notice will not be left, nor a signature obtained. This is to ensure the package is delivered by the intended delivery date.

What are your delivery charges?

We deliver your gift anywhere in New Zealand FREE of charge!

We charge additional fee for Saturday delivery, short notice orders and orders under $50. Please contact us using our enquiry form to find out more.

What currency are your prices in?

All our prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include a Goods and Services Tax of 12.5% (G.S.T), where applicable. See XE.com for the latest currency conversion rates. You can also click on underlined prices throughout the site for an instant currency conversion from XE.com. Please note that your credit card will be always be charged in New Zealand dollars at the time that the order is processed, and that the currency conversion rate used by your credit card company may vary slightly from the XE.com rates. XE.com currency conversion rates should be used as an estimate only; for the exact amount charged consult your Credit Card statement.

Where is the summary of what is in my cart?
